About the Role:

Wing is looking for a

Sourcing Lead

to join our

Strategic Sourcing

team based in

Palo Alto, California . Reporting to the Head of Sourcing, you will leverage your experience to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, process compliance, executing on Wing's goals in diversity, risk and sustainability, and bringing maturity to process and governance execution. Your core category responsibilities will include service providers at the forefront of service footprint expansion for last mile drone deliveries. The ideal candidate has a passion for working in new technologies, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices bringing services to scale globally, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

What You'll Do:Device and deploy a global sourcing strategy for the last mile delivery in international marketsFacilitate cross-functional teams in formulating creative delivery mechanismsEngage and own the commercial relationship with services partners and be responsible for cost negotiations, continuity of service, risk management, driving operational and cost efficiencies through process excellencePartner with a broad mix of stakeholders on category strategy, contract negotiation strategy, contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation, such as Technology, Legal, Privacy, Information Security, and Internal ControlsDevelop strong relationships with and be recognized as a valued partner by senior stakeholders to influence business decisionsContinually improve supplier performance by setting measurable, contractual, performance targets and related supplier performance managementEngage cross-functional and cross-business partners to develop innovative solutions, managing and delivering sourcing deliverables, and ensuring user needs are integratedBuild robust project plans and timelines to ensure key milestones are being captured and met as it relates to the sourcing processEffectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation/resolution of issuesLead, mentor, and develop a small team, fostering their growth through hands-on coaching and providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career developmentWhat You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience12+ years of experience in supply chain development, sourcing management, or strong engineering background in product development5+ years of experience managing high performing sourcing teamsAnalytical/negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinkingTenacious problem solving & issue resolution skillsExcellent presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence across multiple functional teamsFlexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environmentsExcellent communicators, capable of working in multinational environments, driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objective
