POSITION:
Data Engineer
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Vice President of Systems and Growth
JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining database applications using SQL (Structured Query Language). The Data Engineer works with various data sources, such as relational databases, data warehouses, cloud databases, and APIs, to create queries, reports, dashboards, and data pipelines that meet the business requirements and data standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:Write, optimize, and debug SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, constraints, and keys.Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.Design and develop data models, data dictionaries, and data quality rules.Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand and translate data requirements into technical solutions.Document and test database applications and provide technical support and maintenance.Follow and enforce best practices, standards, and security policies for database development and management.Maintain master data mappings across multiple platforms including, but not limited to, CPS/NetSuite/Paycom in MS Power BI.Execute stored procedures related to month end Accounting close process.Perform manual inputs and execution of True-Up, Quarterly Biologics Adjustment, and any changes in processing rules or manual overrides as necessary.Update relevant MS Power BI validation reports.Monitor ETLs and integrations to systems and troubleshoot any issues.Ability to define project scopes, develop detailed timelines, and assess potential risks from a data engineering perspective.Demonstrate strong skills in articulating project requirements, managing deliverables, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.OTHER
Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline.Models the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrates a commitment to the AP Compliance Program, standards and policies.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires sitting, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate lab equipment. Must be able to life 25 lbs.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 8 years of experience as a SQL developer or a similar role.Proficient in SQL and database development tools, such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or Pentaho.Ability to work with multiple healthcare-related technologies (HL7, CCD, CCD-A, etc.) is highly preferred to ensure seamless data interoperability and compliance with industry regulations.Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts and tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and quality.Expertise in MS Power BI and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).Familiarity with the data warehouse and business functions of Allergy Partners, such as Internal CPT to GL Mappings, Allowance Rates, True-Up Distribution, MSO Rate Calculation, and Provider Revenue for Compensation including Injection Reallocation.
