The HR Generalist role supports, implements, and executes a range of HR tasks across the company such as employee relations, compliance, performance reviews, companywide training, and engagement initiatives. This position requires someone that is detail oriented, has excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and strong organization. They work closely with the entire HR team to continue to provide excellent service to our employees at all levels throughout the organization.
Provides guidance on employee relations including but not limited to complaints, performance issues, disciplinary action, investigations, and other confidential employee matters.Develop and coordinate a companywide training program that includes training from internal teammates and external speakers/experts.Manage Milhaus Leadership Academy and Milhaus Internship Programs.Aide employee experience and engagement through programming such as birthday and anniversaries, team member recognition, and events such as the annual holiday party, summer outings, Corporate Sports Challenge, etc.Execute companywide performance management programs including annual and mid-year reviews, goal setting, growth plans and PIPS.Assist with compliance reporting and administration as neededUses HR technology to create improve employee experience and efficiency within processes (Paylocity).Act as a resource to provide guidance to team members on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Gather employee feedback through exit interviews, stay interviews, and engagement surveys to gain insight on how to maintain or improve employee satisfaction.Supports employee safety, welfare, health, and wellness initiatives.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assists in implementing new policies and procedures to effect continuous improvement across the organizationRequirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.3+ years of progressive HR experienceAt least 2+ years in employee relations / performance management.Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required.Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues.Possess conflict management/resolution skills.Benefits
