Providing dental chair-side assistance with all routine dental proceduresd. Preparing patient for dental procedure to be performede. Proper cleaning and disinfection of dental operatories as per JSU Dental policyf. Preparing dental operatory with appropriate instruments and materialsg. Updating patients' medical history and other forms and medical history in Dentrixh. Updating patients' Dentrix notes as directed by dentistsi. Positioning and exposing dental radiographj. Applying topical fluoride for patients as directed by dentistk. Providing toothbrush prophylaxis to pediatric patients as directed by dentistl. Taking alginate dental impressionsm. Performing routine dental laboratory procedures -fabricating dental models and custom trayn. Preparing dental laboratory prescriptions per dentist instructionso. Maintaining sundry supplies in dental operatoryp. Sterilization of dental instrumentsq. Providing patient education - oral hygiene instruction, post-operative wound care, etc.r. Preparing and explaining various dental consent forms to patientss. Performing minimal dental receptionist duties as neededt. Measuring patient vital signsu.
