This position facilitates new client identification; develops SBA (7a), SBA 504 or SBA Express client/prospect sales strategy; makes sales calls; provides consultative support to Bankers and clients on all SBA supported financing alternatives and considerations; facilitates complete SBA process including, Structuring, Prescreen, underwriting and documentation in conjunction with the Banks SBA Specialist; facilitates specialized documentation understanding and adherence; and ongoing and continuous communication with the Banks Middle Market Banking, Commercial Banking, and Business Banking Relationship Managers. Minimum production standards $12M to $15M in new SBA production per year.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Partners with Bank markets (geographic and line of business) to develop SBA supported finance prospect and client relationships within areas designated by the Director of SBA Lending.

Performs business development activities and consultative support of Middle Market Banking, Commercial Banking, and Business Banking Relationship Managers, creating a team approach and support to understanding the benefits of SBA supported lending in serving our client needs.

Typically focuses on businesses with credit needs of less than $5MM that operate in our defined targeted industries and are SBA qualified.

Functions with minimal levels of individual authority and negotiates with strict adherence to established guidelines, credit pricing, terms and structure.

Analyzes and develops marketing plans in cooperation with Bank Line of Business to identify current client opportunities and new client acquisition opportunities.

Proficient in Direct Prospecting for SBA eligible transactions with a goal of utilizing the ability to sell SBA (7a) loans on the Secondary Market. Calls in support new client acquisition of 7 (a), 504 and Express credit offerings. Duties include creation of SBA specific market calling plans. Based on Cap-ex profile, develops call rhythms for follow up marketing.

Keeps abreast of local, regional, and national SBA Lending competition in the Small Business Lending marketplace and consults with Bankers to develop SBA compliant competitive structures and sales strategies.

Facilitates the coordination of document processing and closing. Coordinates with the client, Banker, Credit and legal counsel, as needed, to provide seamless communication and delivery.

Supports Bankers in maintenance of the Bank's client management system (Sales Force) as it relates to SBA Lending opportunities, and client intelligence.

Uses automated business development system to manage individual calling program, schedule appointments, develop customer profiles or cross-sales opportunities, follow-up with customers, and book new business.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management.

Incumbent is required to understand and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneMINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor's Degree, major in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Minimum 6 to 10 years of relationship management experience selling SBA 7(a), 504 and Express Credit.

Proficient in the SBA's SOP 50 10 6.

Understanding and the ability to communicate the structural, tax, accounting and legal issues to clients, bankers, credit officers and Equipment Finance support teams.

Proficient in SBA specific credit underwriting fundamentals and prior credit experience including financial analysis.

Basic knowledge of other commercial loan products & lending / compliance regulations.

Complete knowledge of SBA programs and procedures. Strong network of COs, Brokers and Prospects for SBA financing.

Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
