What The Role Is
As a key member of an established team of investment and project development professionals, the Analyst, Development Operations will have responsibility for supporting the budgeting, planning, and build-out of our 30 GW utility-scale wind, solar, and battery pipeline. This position will work closely with the other members of the Development team and a wide range of Clearway departments to support project and platform budgeting, actuals reconciliation, pipeline planning and strategy, and project development across all aspects of our renewable energy businesses. The successful candidate will have 1+ years of full-time work experience, have strong Excel skills, and will be interested in renewable energy project development. In addition, they will be organized, able to manage multiple priorities, process-minded, a good communicator, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
This is a Hybrid position with preferred locations in our offices in San Diego, CA, or San Francisco, CA.
If you don't meet 100% of the qualifications but see yourself contributing, please submit your resume.What You'll Be DoingPrepare the quarterly and annual project development budget, including leading the preparation of the budget roll-up for our extensive development project portfolio, for presentation to senior management and executive leadership.Shape project development approaches and pipeline strategy through quantitative and qualitative analysis of project budgets and the preparation of detailed memos and presentations to Development leadership.Collaborate with Project Developers, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounting to support individual and portfolio budget forecasting, reconcile actual costs with budgets/forecasts, and address variances.Refine and improve a set of Excel-based forecasting tools that serve as the basis for our project budgets, short and medium-term liquidity planning, securities forecasting, etc.Provide execution support for development pipeline reporting and planning for internal planning purposes, federal reporting requirements, and external communication.Support initiatives aimed at improving the set of tools and business activities at Clearway.What You'll BringMinimum of 1-year related experience required, with preference for consulting background.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Math, Science, or other quantitative field with business or finance experience.Expert with MS Excel and highly skilled with other MS Office products including PowerPoint & Word.A positive attitude, highly motivated, and committed to maintaining a company culture that is based on teamwork, respect, and integrity.Ability to build relationships and work with cross-functional employee groups and external stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner.Detailed-oriented, rigorous, curious, and creative.Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands.What Would Be NiceEnergy or infrastructure industry experience.Renewable energy industry experience.VBA proficiency.SAP experience.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
