The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is seeking to fill an Administrative Assistant position which attends to administrative and data management components in the Adult Education Program at the Allegheny County Jail. Responsibilities include timely and accurate information management, tracking outside mail delivery, supporting special events and initiatives, preparation of student class rosters and attendance. This position works with the jail administrators and program support staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all programs. In addition, they maintain excellent communications with all county and state data administrators, AIU staff, and administration to acquire necessary information and documentation for reporting purposes.
This is a year round position with an annual salary of $35,000.00 plus a robust Benefits Package with health, dental, vision, vacation, sick and personal days, PSERS, and much more.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in business, information management, or a related field is required.At least 1 year of experience in adult educational program administration or operations, adult education experience in a correctional setting is highly preferred.Knowledge of and experience with reporting aspects for county, state, and federal adult education programs.Knowledge of institutional settings and correction education is highly preferred.Basic level expertise in current Microsoft Office products.Proven understanding of the design and functionality of database systems and aptitude for quantitative analysis.
Additional Requirements:Current Act 114, Act 34, Act 151 and NSOR Clearances required prior to an offer (Must be dated within 1 year of hire date).School Personnel Health Record (Form H511.340) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
