At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Charge Nurse to join our team in the inpatient unit.
The primary responsibility of the Charge Nurse is:
Professional nurse who demonstrates strong leadership skills, clinical expertise and compassion for patients and teammates. This nurse provides care for patients and has unit operation oversight throughout the assigned shift. Other key aspects of this position are to role model professional nursing behaviors, clinical competencies and critical thinking. The charge nurse will mentor, precept and nurture new nurses with the goal of successful transition from novice to expert.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
