Job Title: Transmission Line Engineer

Job Description

Transmission Line Engineers work collaboratively within a team to meet client needs. They analyze and design structural elements within transmission systems, including steel structures, foundations, and anchorage. They also design transmission line steel lattice towers, steel poles, and foundations. The role demands responsiveness, proactivity, and a solution-oriented approach.Candidates will serve as technical subject matter experts with a preference for those holding a PE license and possessing 3+ years of experience, ideally 5-10 years. EIT certification is required. Depending on experience, responsibilities range from overseeing projects in a project engineering and project management capacity to running projects independently or with team lead support.Proficiency in PLS CADD and AutoCAD is required, with Microstation as a preferred skill. The role involves working on a variety of projects, including 69Kv - 230Kv transmissions and interconnection/LGIA projects, primarily related to capital improvements and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) FITNES projects.An engineering degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical is required, with a preference for Civil/Structural.Hard SkillsPLS CADDAutoCADMicrostation (preferred)Overhead or Aerial line design or engineering experienceSoft SkillsResponsivenessProactivitySolution-oriented approachGrowth mentalityJob Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Portland, Oregon and some days remote.Work Environment

Mostly remote, hybrid, or in-office/client sites depending on the location in the Portland, OR area and employee preferences. Employees can work out of three office locations: Downtown Portland, Wilsonville, and Corvallis.About Actalent
