Account Manager , your primary responsibility is to serve as the day-to-day expert on a mixed book of commercial, surety, and personal lines business and be the primary point of contact for clients. The Account Manager will assist in preparing and negotiating renewal documents, rounding out existing coverage lines and soliciting new business, maintaining client databases, records management, project-specific assignments, and other responsibilities in support of client satisfaction as assigned.Responsibilities:Respond to client requests in a timely, effective and professional mannerRespond to account executive/producer requests in a timely, effective and professional mannerRequest endorsements and policy changes to the insurance companyFollow up on invoicing discrepanciesSet up policy files according to procedureMaintain computer files according to procedureHave knowledge and capability of handling the administrative and technical functions of an assistant if that role should need to be met on the assigned clientsCollect new and renewal data on assigned accountsIdentify cross-selling opportunities on current clientsKeep informed of current marketing conditions and new marketsReview and analyze and market applications to carriers following agency proceduresMake market recommendations to account executive/producerNegotiate with carriers to create the best combination of coverage and premiumPrepare quotations, coverage summaries/comparisons, proposals and recommendations needed to insure client/prospects understanding of coveragePerform assigned projects at managements requestAttend training and meetings held by the agencyAdhere to agencys attendance policyAttend and pass CIC courses with the goal of obtaining the CIC designation in a reasonable time frameQualifications:
High school diplomaMinimum of two years prior experience as an assistant account manager or account manager in a retail insuranceCompletion of CISR designation or INS insurance coursesScore 80% or more on agencys account manager commercial lines testFire & Casualty licenseHybrid (remote and in-office)Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
