Description:You will be a CNC Machine Operator with our team in Archbald, PA. What You Will Be DoingWe are seeking an CNC Machine Operator to support our team. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Follows instructions to machine, fabricate, or assemble parts to print and operation sheet specifications using conventional and CNC machines including lathes, horizontal and vertical machining centersPre-sets and installs proper cutting tools select proper speeds, feeds, and depth of cut where applicable to maintain the proper quantity and quality standardsInspects cutting tools for wear to ensure the quality of parts and makes adjustments during production run as requiredInterprets CAD data, prints and sketches with regard to fabrication and follows written and/or verbal instructionsPerforms secondary operations during the machine cycle such as deburring and straighteningInspects parts as they are produced using standard gages, micrometers, indicators, vernier calipers, depth gages, and other measuring devices, to ensure conformity to specificationsPerforms minor preventive maintenance to equipment and maintains coolant levels to ensure a steady supply of coolant/cutting fluids to the machineReceives and, when assigned, provides cross-training for other tasks related to department functions and proceduresRecommends and executes changes to achieve process improvements and/or cycle time reductionsSelects and loads proper CNC program in machine control to insure proper operation of the machineVerifies gages and inspection equipment required are correct and appropriate for the taskVerifies NC code during execution of setup and edits CNC programs

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:2 years, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and with demonstrated ability to meet production time standards with minimal defects for low to mid complexity partsKnowledge of basic shop math (metric conversion and arithmetic)Experience as CNC operator in multiple machine cellular manufacturing operationExperience working/machining steel, aluminum and stainless steel with knowledge of machining speeds and feeds requiredProficient in use of Measuring Equipment and able to verify conformance of machined work piece to specificationsKnowledge of M & G code to be able to edit & trouble shoot CNC program at machineDesired Skills:Experience in set up and operation of CNC horizontal, vertical machining centers and lathesExperience pre-setting cutting tools and setting up fixtures in machinesProficient with editing CNC programs and using FANUC controlsExperience working/machining steel, aluminum and stainless steel with knowledge of machining speeds and feeds requiredProficient at GD&TExperience programming with GibbsCAMExperience with Solid ModelingAbility to perform complex calculations related to machiningClearance Level:
