Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking
Embedded Software Engineers
to be responsible for the software design, development, and integration of the Axiom Space Commercial Space Station software in Houston, TX. The selected candidates for this position will play a key role in the development of embedded software for commercial human spaceflight modules.
Key Duties:
Develop, integrate, and deploy embedded software solutions that interface with propulsion, command & data handling (C&DH), environmental control and life support systems (ECLSS), guidance navigation and control (GN&C), caution and warning (C&W), networks, datalinks, power, and other flight systems.Develop, test, and integrate embedded software in prototype and flight environments.Communicate with subject matter experts across disciplines, users, and management throughout the software test and development lifecycle.Maintain disciplined software configuration control and management processes.Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time.Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.5 or more years of experience developing software using C++ in a Linux environment.Comfortable with common embedded communication protocols like UART, SPI, I2C, USB, RS-232/422/485, and ethernet.Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
Flight software experience.Experience with JIRA, GitLab, Innoslate, JAMA, and Confluence.
