About the Position:

General Dynamics Land Systems is seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to join our team. As an Applications Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving issues with various engineering software such as Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, Capital Harness. You will also manage the FlexLM license server and work with both application vendors and our internal support team to resolve technical issues. Experience with Linux and Windows server OS. Experience with vulnerabilities mitigation on several applications.

Maintain and update software configurations.Work with end-users to determine business requirements for enhanced functionality.Document business requirements with functional and technical specification documents.Develop and implement changes to the software based on user requirements.Install and test all changes and patches to the software environment.Update software to remediate security vulnerabilities.Support audit requirements related to SOX, cybersecurity, and other related requirements.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field.Experience supporting one of the following engineering software in an engineering environment: Slicwave, Doors, Rational Suite, Atlassian Suite Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GIT.Software development support experience.System Administration and configuration experience.Knowledge and experience with development tools and environments like Slicwave, Rational Suite, Atlassian Suite Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, VMware, National Instruments, Linux OS, SQL Server, scripting, and software testing.Modeling/Analysis/Simulation experience.Knowledge and experience with CAE tools and environments like Mentor Graphics, Ansys, Hyperworks, NX Nastran, LS-Dyna, MATLAB, HPC Cluster, MuSes.Knowledge of engineering business processes.Knowledge of ITIL processes is preferred but not required.Experience in the defense industry is preferred but not required.Must be a U.S. Person (i.e. a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)GDLS considers factors such as, scope/responsibilities of the position, candidate experience and education/training background, in addition to local market comparable and business considerations when extending an offer.
