Job Summary:
The BOP Procurement Associate will provide support to the Procurement department by supporting multiple competitive bid processes, including negotiating and drafting contracts for all services related to the development, design and construction of wind, solar, and battery storage projects and assisting in managing relationships with key suppliers, contractors, manufacturers and internal areas of the company. You will also support Procurement's organization and process team in the supplier qualification process and additional reporting as necessary.
The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities:Capability to understand both global and local wind and solar EPC market and technologies, evolution and pricing trends.Assist the Procurement area, participating in definition and execution of sourcing strategies and developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for acquisition of EPCs/ BOPs.Assist identifying new players in the market for the different scopes of works to be contracted.Establish and maintain close relationships with EPC contractors and vendorsEngagement with EPC Contractors and vendors to understand latest technical details on new products/ tasks and updates to existing products.Launch, maintain and close RFP processes through Repsol's web-based system, following up each of the stages of the processes in the system.Proactively, reviewing and leveling EPC/ BOP proposals, identifying potential risks and participating in negotiation of the contracts that result in the best value possibleAssist with the creation and documentation of a competitive bid process that can be used at all levels of the organizationInvolvement as required in other Repsol areas, such as Legal, Development, Engineering and Construction, Finance...Manage Bidder evaluation process to monitor each bidder's performanceManage qualification process for EPC contractors and vendorsAssist with the contract award process and award recommendationsManage documentation, proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, engineering and construction interfaces during the RFP tender.Organize and prepare agendas for meetings between EPC Contractors/ vendors and Procurement personnel.Qualifications:
Authorized to work in the USA for any employer without sponsorship.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction or related discipline.3+ years of related supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing or a related field.Experience in bidding, procuring, contracting and managing EPC/ BOP services for wind, solar and battery storage projects strongly preferred.Knowledge of the competitive bid process for engineering and construction services and negotiation techniquesKnowledge of wind and solar EPC market and technologies.Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g SAP/ Ariba)Availability to travel is required.Excellent organizational and administrative skills, including exceptional attention to details and ability to multi task.Strong analytical skills including the ability to distill, synthesize and draw conclusions on large amounts of data.Must be a very good communicator, with good relationship skills and the ability to build relationships in a multi - cultural environmental.Proven written and verbal communication skillsStrategic problem solvingSelf-motivatedVery strong work ethic and exemplary standards of integrity, safety, ethics, quality, and productivity
