**Hybrid | Westlake, TX**Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in Test.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $60 - $65 / hr. w2Responsibilities:Proactively working with developers and business analysts to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or executionIdentify, communicate, and proactively contribute project risks as well those of our supporting teams (as applicable)Be an authority in the overall team objectives and improvement initiativesSteer gathering of team requirements on process improvementsWrite comprehensive test cases and maintain a library of test cases for various scenariosBuilds test cases to validate the generated data analytical reports and dashboardsPartner with development teams and promote understanding of test data and its role in the project lifecycleBe a strong team player and support the team in delivering the tasks accurately and timely mannerSupport Continuous Integrated (CI) testing using industry standard tools and techniques
Experience Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience10+ years of Software Quality Assurance or proven experience desiredData Lake or Data Warehouse experience is requiredSolid understanding of Data Warehousing systems and the data migration conceptsDemonstrable skills in Data Management including, but limited to Data Mining, Extract, and related disciplinesExperienced with programming languages such as Python or JavaStrong Experience with SQL is requiredStrong experience with ETL/ ELT validations in Oracle, Snowflake and PostgreSQL etcGood Understanding of Behavior Driven Development - BDD FrameworkStrong experience in reporting tools such as OBIEE and Microsoft Power BI etcProficiency in SQL ideally within SnowflakeGood understanding of cloud technologies AWS or Azure is preferredUnderstanding of Dev Ops principles and strategies as well as how to apply them to multiple SDLC models is preferredExperience with trading or financial applications are preferred with a practical understanding of brokerage applications highly preferredAbility to multi-task and shift priorities in response to changing business needsExperience in Agile methods, particularly Scrum, preferred
