We are looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a background in AI, Gen AI, Machine Learning, NLP, to help build LLM solutions for Amazon core shopping.

Our team works on a variety of projects, including state of the art generative AI, LLM finetuning, alignment, prompt engineering, benchmarking solutions.

Key job responsibilitiesAs an Applied Scientist, you will be expected to work on state of the art technologies which will result in paper publications; however, you will not be only theorizing about the algorithms, but you will also have the opportunity to implement them and see how they behave in the field.

This is an incredible opportunity to validate your research on one of the most exciting Amazon AI products, where assumptions can be tested against real business scenarios and supported by an abundance of data.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language- Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse- Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning or equivalent quantitative fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code- Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals- Experience in LLM finetuning, pretraining, testing, and prompt engineering.- Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
