Catering Manager 3
to support our dining operations for the
University of Illinois Chicago.As the
Catering Manager , you will oversee multiple functions and setups. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and working with the event staff, ensuring events are prepped and ready for the next day.SodexoMAGIC

Candidates should also have working knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and food service operations. We seek candidates who can drive and foster an innovative team while managing high volume and working well with the management team and staff.The successful candidate will:Identify customer needs and expectations;Ensure that Sodexo and customer goals are aligned and met;Educate and develop rapport with clients and promote partnerships;Promote a customer/client-centered culture that strives to exceed customer and client needs;Coordinate all unit catering initiatives to drive sales growth and track results;Maintain and improve service levels resulting in increased customer satisfaction;Ensure all HACCP standards are followed;Demonstrate resourcefulness and quick responsiveness to client and customer requests.We are looking for candidates who:Have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience;Manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for high-level customer service;Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;Have high-volume catering management experience;Have extensive formal training in catering services, particularly in customer service, event planning, and management;Have a strong focus on food quality and presentation, along with high-end catering experience;Have previous success managing a university campus account;Possess strong leadership skills, computer skills, and culinary knowledge;Have technical competence in unit financial management, pricing, and menu development, and will be responsible for training and developing front-line hourly employees;Exhibit exceptional time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.What We OfferCompensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
