Job SummaryThe Alumni Relations & Development department at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools is recruiting talented and energetic advancement professionals for the schools’ next campaign. The Director of Development & Campaign Manager (DOD) will lead key functions that support the schools’ major gifts and annual giving program.
The DOD will supervise major gift officers, the Director of Annual Giving, and other team members. The role includes managing a portfolio of major gifts prospects and participating in planning and departmental meetings.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and partnership to the Associate Director of Schools for Alumni Relations & Development.
Build and manage a prospect portfolio of individuals and families.
Develop cultivation and solicitation plans tailored to specific donors.
Assist Lab’s Director of ARD with regular meetings to understand programs and resource needs.
Collaborate with University ARD offices to ensure shared services are utilized.
Participate in and be visible in the life of Lab Schools.
Manage department strategies to achieve University fundraising goals.
Perform other related work as needed.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in a related field.Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Preferred QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree.Experience:
A minimum of seven years or more in philanthropic leadership including campaign management.
