Driver experience is key to the success of the Last Mile platform that powers Walmart’s Grocery, General Merchandise, and Same Day Delivery propositions. We deal with driver Payments, miles driven, and externalization of Walmart Core delivery services. Last Mile Delivery is expected to grow multiple times over in the next few years. In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.What you’ll bring:4+ years of working experience in Native App development. Experience with RxSwift & Swift languages, UIKit & Foundation frameworks, and xibs & storyboard.3+ years of working experience in Cloud Components and Architecture.Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be able to articulate complex technical concepts in an approachable way for broad audiences.Demonstrated high level design of systems.Solid experience in large scale distributed systems and event-driven architecture.Have designed, built, and maintained APIs, services of highly scalable platforms.Have experience with Kafka or other high volume-low latency messaging infrastructure.Have experience with Azure Cloud Stack or other cloud stacks.Have extensive knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns and micro-service architecture. Familiarity with CI/CD and unit testing.What you’ll do:Taking the lead on problems related to scale & monetization.Leveraging your experience of designing and building large scale distributed systems, solving problems related to scale and processing huge amounts of data.Provides support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues; researching and identifying needed solutions; determining implementation designs; providing guidance regarding implications of new and enhanced systems.Manages small to large-sized complex projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; researching and identifying alternative solutions; determining needed solutions based on return on investment and value add to the business.Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information; performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues; engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues.Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with the product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs.Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.Flexible, hybrid work:We use a hybrid way of working that is primarily in office coupled with virtual when not onsite.
