Job SummarySupports, analyzes, and documents an Enterprise WAN/LAN/WLAN focused on corporate offices, stores, and distribution centers. Installs, configures, maintains, and optimizes all network hardware and software to meet network performance requirements of the company. Diagnoses, resolves and documents hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring minimal downtime. Develops, designs, and recommends network technology solutions. Provides end user training, consulting, and assistance as required. Will manage IT network projects at times. Consistently provides world class customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other related work.Typical Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with IT Staff to create optimal network design topologies and configurations.Provide system support for all aspects of cabling and networking hardware and software products.Maintain all network hardware and software including router, switches, wireless controller, VPN appliances, PBX’s and intercom systems.Design, Engineer, and Maintain security solutions, including firewall, intrusion prevention systems and VPN’s.Design, Engineer, and Maintain network and telephony solutions.Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory.Conduct and review research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.Maintain keen attention to detail in documentation and configuration of network systems.Respond to emergency network outages.Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex network problems for hardware and software solutions.Maintain current knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery plan executables.Participate in incident response for network or security related instances.Provide guidance and training to IT Staff as required.Manage assigned projects to deliver services that meet established objectives on time and within budget.Evaluate, test and recommend networking hardware and software products.Aid in development of business continuity, incident response, and disaster recovery plans and maintain current knowledge of plan executables.Be on-call to trouble-shoot emergencies.RequirementsEducation:Bachelors in a technology related discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.Experience:At least 6 years Network Administration experience.Applying technical knowledge of network operating systems Cisco IOS and Aruba AOS.Design and Engineering of SNMP MIB Based network monitoring system.Applying technical knowledge in the following five areas: network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP); switching protocols LaCP, PaGP, Etherchannel); security protocols (IPSec, GRE, 802.1x); wireless 802.11a/b/g/n; WAN protocols (DMVPN, MPLS).Exhibiting strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Implementing secure network segmentation through VLAN technologies.Effectively utilizing Netflow to diagnose high level network issues.Ability to use log correlation tools such as Splunk and Syslog to diagnose complex network issues.Preferred Education, Experience and/or Credentials:5 years Retail Grocery ExperienceCCNP, ACMPThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
