In the role of Transportation EIT, we'll count on you to:Work as a key member of the Transportation Team on moderate to large projects and work independently on smaller projects.Assimilate and manage data.Provide transportation design services for transit, highway, state agencies, cities and counties.Prepare the following roadway/highway design elements using local agency or AASHTO design standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, 3D modeling, roadway cross sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, and roadway drainage.Work with a team in the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for projects of various sizes and complexities.Manage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the other team members, write reports and technical memos, and organize project tasks in support of senior staff.Perform other duties as needed.Preferred QualificationsExcellent oral and written communication skills.Self-starter who strives to learn and take on increasing responsibilities.Time management and organizational skills.Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Willingness to work overtime as required.Required QualificationsProficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3D.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.What We BelieveHDR is our company.
