We work tirelessly to provide healthcare organizations specialized IT services that support the delivery of patient care.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for installation, operation and ongoing support for MEDITECH Expanse and other software applications that directly support the operations.Works closely with the Director of Information Services to establish work priorities and makes staff assignments as appropriate to meet the requirements.Serves as a project manager on all projects assigned to assure all projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Oversees the work of Application Support Analysts, Senior Application Support Analysts and other staff as assigned to this section.Ensures that all software applications are maintained and supported at an acceptable level for all users. Identifies, documents and resolves or reports software problems to software vendors as appropriate for resolution.Tracks and follows up on all outstanding issues timely; escalates problem resolution to the Director as appropriate.Customizes systems and recommends changes to applications and/or workflow processes as appropriate and consistent with user input and job requirements.Focus is proactive to anticipate and meet user needs while adhering to the Strategic Information Systems Plan.Recognizes situations that could result in loss of system efficiency or connectivity and takes initiative to prevent systems issues from occurring. Assures that staff adheres to Department policies, procedures and job assignments.Provides expertise and guidance in area of research, evaluation and selection of new computer software as required.Works closely with Director of Information Services and VP/CIO to plan for new software applications in support of the Strategic Information Systems Plan.Assists in developing the annual operating and capital budgets.Directly responsible for operating within the annual operating and capital budgets.Maintains open communications with System VPs and Directors to provide expert advice on the selection, implementation and operation of computer software.Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science or health care related field preferred OR equivalent work experience or combination of College and specialized training in supporting MEDITECH applications.Three to five years’ experience in MEDITECH Application Support and Team Leadership.Must have MEDITECH Expanse experience. Successful completion of specialized training on Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office applications and MEDITECH application software.Specialized training in application Report Writer, dictionary maintenance and screen development required.Must have strong documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.Intermediate to expert ability to work in Office suite products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.Provides coaching and technical and functional guidance on specific project deliverables.Leads in communicating requirements to development, testing, education and training teams.Good organization skills.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.A sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative.Adaptable and flexible.Professional demeanor and positive attitude; customer service orientation.Ability to learn new technologies, methods, and processes.Respect for diversity of experience, characteristics, viewpoints, and opinions.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
