We are hiring a Research Scientist, R&D. The Research Scientist conducts research under the direction of a supervisor leading to the development of new or improved products.Responsibilities:
Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvementsFormulate and prepare reagents and cell culture mediaPerform basic data analysis and generate summary data reportsAssist in preparation of formal reports and presentationsAssist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problemsOther duties may be assignedRequired Skills/Education:
Ph.D. or M.S. in Biology or related fields required. Qualified M.S. candidates should have at least 5 years of industry experience in a Cell Therapy settingPrior experience in aseptic cell culture of mammalian cells is requiredDemonstrated ability in writing scientific content is requiredPrior experience in the use of a flow cytometer is preferredPrior experience in cell-based assays is preferredPrior experience in Cell Therapy/Immunology is preferredGood general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and MicrobiologyGood working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and proceduresGeneral knowledge of computer systems and productivity softwareSalary and Benefits:
For California, the base salary range for this position is $79,554 - $104,236 annually.
