The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store.As a General Merchandise Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guestsObserve to understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interactEngage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their needsBe knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experienceThank guests genuinely and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at TargetEnsure sales floor is zoned, in stock and accurately signed and priced for guestsAcknowledge guests as you complete workload with minimal disruptionEnsure regular and promotional signing is set accurately for GM categoriesExecute inbound, replenishment, backroom and signing processes for GM areasFollow processes accurately with attention to detailDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and complianceWork in a safe manner at all times; identify and correct hazardsSupport guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processesAll other duties based on business needsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORWe might be a great match if:Working in a fun and energetic environment makes you excitedProviding service to guests that makes them say I LOVE TARGET! excites youStocking, Setting and Selling Target products sounds like your thingYou aren’t looking for a Monday thru Friday job at a computer all dayThe good news is that we have amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a General Merchandise Expert.
