National Strategic Account Director, Clinical Studies
on our Corporate Relations team.
The location for this position is remote and flexible.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible grant funded position. Current funding is approximately through June 2027.

Responsibilities
Meet with assigned companies to develop a pathway for Association engagement to ultimately drive revenue toward our mission with a strategic account management approach.
Work within peer group to support the growth and sustainability of the Association’s work in Obesity and in Clinical Studies across all accounts.
Facilitate relationships with accounts, at all levels and in various business units, for long-term engagement with the Association.
Work across internal departments to develop solutions and work toward our mission that meets the needs and budget of the funder.
Lead strategic meetings with companies to connect external opportunities to internal capabilities and develop agendas and facilitate those discussions.
Engage with the Association field to align opportunities for local market engagement.
Work to actively engage with and secure new accounts.
Attend and meet with funders at key Scientific Conferences, most typically three conferences per year.
Write and negotiate contracts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Five (5) years of successful account management, and sales experience, with proven history of success in related field.
Experience in life sciences, real world evidence, research and clinical development is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to consult and interact internally across a large matrixed organization.
Some travel, including overnights.
Compensation & BenefitsExpected pay range will be $135,000 to $150,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
