Job Description

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Retail Food Service Manager to oversee retail food service operations at Boston Children's Hospital.Management position, responsible for developing and executing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Oversees and manages dining operations where customers order prepared food from a menu.Job Responsibilities

Leverages Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members to their fullest potentialEnsures individual and team performance meets objectives and client expectationsEnsures safety and sanitation standards in all operationsMaintains effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationshipsIdentifies client needs and communicates operational progressEnsures the completion and maintenance of profit and loss statementsDeliver client and company financial targetsAdopts all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve marginsCreates value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit managementComplies with the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiativesEnsures entire team is trained and able to executeSupervises team regarding production, quality and controlMaintains a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employeesPrimarily responsible for food service at an assigned retail food locationAssists manager in establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food & related products, as well as menu planning & developmentEnsures that requirements for appropriate sanitation and safety levels in respective areas are metDirectly supervises two or more employees with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and initiating pay increasesAssists in location forecast and accountingConducts period inventory; performs other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting agency standardsCoordinates activities with other internal departmentsInterfaces with vendors and key service users within client organizationManages Front of House (Cafeteria, Food Court, Quick Service) dining operationsDevelops and implements retail services plans to improve service, quality and profitability of service areasMaintain effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified retail experience for customersAt Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Requires at least 4 years of experienceRequires 1-3 years of experience in a management rolePrevious experience in retail requiredStrong communication skillsRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.Must be able to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service modelAbout Aramark
