SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility so that information can be shared.
Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards.
Support pre-delivery to Alteration Installation Team (AIT) for shipboard installation and ISEA Shipboard Configuration and SOVT.
Provide shipboard support for hardware and software issues through SOVT.
Support ongoing CANES ship set activities across multiple baselines with varying schedules for execution.
Familiarity with various Naval Tactical Network Systems.
Integrates 3rd party applications to enable rapid delivery of mission objectives.
Deploys on computers, servers, networks, directories, and backups for CANES and other network enterprise services to the Fleet.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of professional experience Computerized System experience, to include: Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows based operating system.
Demonstrated technical experience in support of TACNET or other Navy C4I systems.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED.
Individual should be working towards the relevant vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft Certified Applicable Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications, etc.
