Software Developer
to join the team!Key Responsibilities:Maintain, enhance, and debug software applications built with VB.NET.Lead development projects through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) using a waterfall methodology.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.Design, develop, and implement software solutions in the .NET framework to meet business needs.Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing applications.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software systems.Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of professional experience in VB.NET development.Solid understanding of the waterfall development methodology and experience working in a structured SDLC environment.Experience with SOAP API and REST API.Proficiency in debugging, testing, and maintaining complex software applications.Experience with SQL Server and database management.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.You take pride in the code you write - it's clean, tested, organized, and elegant.Self-starter - you're proactive and can start projects and tasks without constant direction.Quick learner - you pick up new frameworks and technologies quickly.Familiarity with other .NET languages (C#, F#) is a plus.Experience with modernizing legacy systems or migrating applications to newer technologies.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).Experience with Jira/Azure DevOps.Experience with Postman or other API testing client.Experience with Entity Framework.We would also prefer:Industry experience including direct marketing, e-commerce, print, graphic design, and insurance and financial services.About Taylor Corporation:One of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
