Job Description - Practice Assistant I, Radiation Oncology (3309566)Politely greets patients and families; responds to questions and requests promptly and professionally.Facilitates patient check-in. Queues patients into Epic and ARIA system. Provides pre-visit paperwork to patients; oversees the printing and distribution of patient wristbands from Epic and maintains careful adherence to patient confidentiality policies and procedures. Assists in orienting patients to self check-in and wait time monitor systems.Maintains Epic and ARIA registration, including, but not limited to primary radiation oncology, referring MD and insurance information.Maintains daily check of "Consent Forms for Next Day SIM" report in Epic. Prints consent forms to be signed when needed.Coordinates signatures on MRI safety screening forms.Scans all consents for Radiation Treatment into Epic after RTT team approves upload into ARIA.Answers incoming calls and triages calls appropriately to MDs, RNs, and other key personnel as necessary. Contacts appropriate service for patients needing transport.Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the main waiting room. Maintains reception desk area including copy machine, fax machine, office supplies. Accepts internal and external package deliveries and notifies recipient.Reconciles and keeps statistics on parking validations.Communicates effectively with all staff, as well as other departments.Oversees daily operation of the Front desk, communicates closely with Practice Manager regarding all clinic issues and potential changes and improvements.Performs all other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.Minimum six months applicable work experience required.Some additional training in office systems or other post-high school education preferred.EEO Statement
