We operate eight branch locations and seven showrooms throughout Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.Function:
As a Branch Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the overall operations and management of a branch location. You will lead a team of counter sales, warehouse staff, and a team of delivery drivers, ensuring excellent customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining operational efficiency to achieve business objectives.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to branch staff, including counter sales associates, warehouse personnel, and delivery drivers.Set clear performance expectations, establish operational goals, and motivate team members to achieve results through effective coaching, training, and performance management.Selects, promotes, and discharges employees within the branch in accordance with personnel policies and procedures.
Business Development:
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate strategic partnerships with contractors, builders, developers, and other key stakeholders.
Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction by responding promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues or concerns, and maintaining open communication channels with customers.Monitor customer feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for service improvement, product enhancements, and customer-centric initiatives.Operational Management:
Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and administrative functions.Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry regulations.
Manage branch budget and expenses effectively, optimizing resource allocation and cost control measures to maximize profitability and achieve financial targets.Monitor key financial metrics, such as sales revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and profit margins, and take proactive measures to address variances and drive performance improvement.Inventory Control and Supply Chain Management:
Oversee inventory control processes, including stock levels, replenishment strategies, and inventory accuracy, to ensure optimal product availability and minimize stockouts or overstocks.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe and compliant work environment at the branch, adhering to OSHA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Conduct regular safety training sessions, perform safety inspections, and enforce safe work practices to minimize accidents, injuries, and liability risks.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Generate reports and analytics on branch performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Principal Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.Previous experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or inventory control, preferably in the plumbing, lighting, or appliance wholesale industry.Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards for warehouse operations.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
