Hard-won lessons and significant advances illustrate that our proven technology based on solid science tested by decades of research has tremendous potential to make a substantial contribution to public health worldwide.Novavax is seeking a Sr. Associate, Materials Management to oversee the material supporting Novavax operations, reporting to our Director, Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience and interest in working in a small, entrepreneurial environment with broad responsibilities and opportunities.Responsibilities:Provide support to all areas as it relates to Materials Management operations to meet company needs.Coordinating all shipments received from requestors to the Materials Management group.Manage all documentation, booking forms, customs documents, waybills, etc.Work with the Materials Management team to complete all shipments efficiently and accurately.Monitor performance of our transportation carriers.Coordinate with transportation carriers as well as evaluate carrier performance.Initiate and monitor shipments from our third-party warehouses.Maintain and update the internal Shipment tracker.Ability to handle multiple projects.Maintain accurate inventory; receive, verify, and enter material into the ERP system.Pack/ship material following IATA/DOT regulations.Process requests in a timely manner to meet company needs.Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet material movement requirements.Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, and storage areas.Work off hours or weekends as needed.Ensure work environment remains safe and clean.Minimum Requirements:2-4 years in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.Experience in Pharma/Biopharmaceutical or related industry in support of a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of shipping regulations and shipping documentation.Ability to utilize an ERP inventory application, review email notifications to accurately process, receive, and ship orders.Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.Ability to work independently.Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.Experience with the standards, practices, and guidelines relevant to a pharmaceutical and cGMP environment.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other Materials Management colleagues.Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on assignments and seek assistance as needed to meet operational needs.The annual base salary (or hourly wage) for this position falls within the range of $21.70 - $27.10. However, the actual base pay offered may vary based on several individualized factors, such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
