The Associate Executive Director will:

Develop, manage, and monitor the branch operating budget and meet or exceed budget targets.

Play a leadership role in the annual support campaign and special events by making sure all staff and volunteers work effectively together.

Be a sound fiscal manager generating income from membership dues, program fees and contributions to conduct the work of the branch efficiently and effectively.

Work with the Membership Director to develop and direct high-quality member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association mission, goals, and strategies.

Ensure that membership growth and program development relate to community needs and the mission of the association.

Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of staff using leadership skills to recruit and develop cause-driven staff that is member and service-focused.

Execute the branch's strategic planning efforts which include multiyear plans as well as annual.

Ensure the safety of all members and staff by providing safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities, property, and equipment.

Be an ambassador by representing and promoting the YMCA in the local community and develop and maintain positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and community members.

Provide leadership and direction in crisis situations in unison with the communication plan of the Association.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus 5-10 years of successful operational and management experience

Nonprofit experience (YMCA experience preferred)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven track record of successful fundraising

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Experience supervising multiple teams including volunteers

Computer literate, experience with Microsoft 365
