THE WORKThe Southeast Asia business development lead is a pivotal role within Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) International Strategy and Business Development organization. As a member of the Indo-Pacific Strategy & Business Development team, this individual will be responsible for formulating and executing the business strategy for the Southeast Asia region as well as identifying growth opportunities, managing the opportunity pipeline, and fostering customer engagement to drive business expansion in the region. Reporting to the Director, International Indo-Pacific Business Development, this position will be responsible for / need to be able to:

Identify new international business opportunities. Evaluate the viability of such opportunities, shape customer requirements and directly support RMS Line of Business capture activities while managing international customer relationships across Southeast Asia.Understand, articulate and support our regional and global strategies.Develop a business development plan that sustains current franchise programs, with a specific focus on the Philippines, and develop growth opportunities across the RMS portfolio.Shape the international franchise strategy for Rotary and Mission Systems and coordinate across multiple Business Areas/functions within the corporation, including but not limited to Global Business Development, Lockheed Martin Business areas (Aero, MFC, Space), Program Management, Operations, Finance, etc.Act as the primary internal and external contact for customers, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to optimize solutions and drive business success.

The position will be located in a major Asia hub, Singapore preferred.

Basic Qualifications:- 15+ years of business development experience and/or specific detailed experience in the region leading and capturing business.- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and deal with top level customers, company and other personnel. Able to develop and promote strong customer relations with internal and external customers.- Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel worldwide without restriction. Must be able to operate and thrive in a fast-paced international environment. Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive environment.- Strong understanding of Rotary Wing capability, operation, and employment.- Demonstrated experience working with the team to identify “Art of the deal” activities that support customer needs and increase probability of win.

Desired Skills:- Experience with business case development and ability to work with functions such as contracts, Industrial Development, and Finance.- Ability to understand and interpret international customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to strategy and programmatic processes.- Strong financial planning skills.- Strong decision-making ability and willingness to do the right thing by the company and our customers.- Avid learner – strong desire to understand the entire portfolio within RMS and the Lockheed Martin Enterprise.- Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales contracting and FMS process with USG organizations.- Experience working with US Embassy personnel.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government.- Understanding of diverse Southeast Asia cultures desirable.- Understanding of military rotary wing market.- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.- Team Player – effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives. Must work well with the broader RMS team.- Experience working with and managing consultants.- Deal closer – highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $146,800 - $281,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered:
