Project Specialist
to join the Value of Life Sciences Innovation (VLSI) program, who will provide research support to the Executive Director and researchers in the program.Key duties include:Reviewing academic literature to identify and summarize important and relevant findings.Collecting data from a wide variety of sources, including data entry and basic data organization.Creating graphs, charts, and tables from data to present research results.Taking notes and keeping records for in-person and virtual team meetings.Writing project status reports and helping to draft manuscripts, white papers, policy briefs, and other research reports.Managing the journal submission process, including formatting references and assembling author disclosures.Providing general administrative and operational assistance within the Value of Life Sciences Innovation program.Minimum Education:
Bachelor's DegreeCombined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.Minimum Experience:
2 yearsMinimum Fields of Expertise:Excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skillsDetail-orientationCollaborative, team-player attitudeAbility to prioritize across multiple tasks and deliver high-quality output in a timely mannerExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointPreferred Education:

The hourly rate range for this position is $29.40 - $34.13. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.Position is 100% FTE and a hybrid work arrangement.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
