Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing - R&D and Supply Chain/TOQ.The Associate Director will drive value through the design and implementation of sourcing strategies across North America and Europe, collaborating with global colleagues in Japan when required. This role will partner with and influence key R&D and Supply Chain/TOQ business leaders to drive strategy implementation. Responsibilities include negotiating and contracting with the supply base for R&D and Supply Chain/TOQ Services, ensuring alignment with strategic sourcing category strategies.This role requires an experienced sourcing leader to deliver sourcing & procurement services to business partners across North America, aligning business requirements, strategic sourcing expertise, supplier market intelligence, and risk mitigation.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement sourcing category strategies that align with functional goals & objectives.Establish effective relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure Strategic Sourcing activities support functional strategies.Drive maturity of category management capabilities and support the transformation of shared services.Provide category leadership and change management support to enable productivity improvements.Define and implement key supplier management concepts to maintain strategic relationships.Lead spend analytics and category governance efforts to generate sourcing insights.Manage strategic and complex competitive events and commercial agreements as needed.Ensure sourcing practices comply with corporate ethics and financial policies.Pursue ongoing development of relevant skills to realize optimal results.Key Core CompetenciesLeadership & Learning AgilityAnalyticsDigital ProcurementBusiness PartneringAccountability for ResultsFosters Change and InnovationCreates Value for CustomersDemonstrates Business Acumen and Business AgilityEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. 7-10 years of Strategic Sourcing & Procurement experience is essential.Other requirementsCPSM/CPM or other sourcing accreditations a plus. Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside normal working hours.
