The primary responsibilities of this role, Seeds & Traits Global Allergenicity Strategy Manager, are to:Anticipate future regulatory landscape and policy changes such as labelling, allergenicity data requirements for registrations, etc. that may impact Bayer Crop Science (BCS) Seeds and Traits (S&T) portfolio to ensure long-term license to operate.Take primary responsibilities to direct the efforts in assessing allergenicity of biotech traits.The position is expected to be an expert, recognized widely, with a profound knowledge of the regulatory framework on allergenicity with a strong network with US and global allergenicity scientific community, especially EU. Achieve a sound scientific strategy related to allergenicity assessment to enable defensible registrations by steering in-silico, in vitro and future allergenicity risk assessment and outreach activities for new or existing projects.Develop and implement a comprehensive allergen assessment strategy for Bayer S&T, for the products’ entire life cycle.Serves as the key interface between Seeds and Trait Safety and other relevant teams and industry partners and science organizations including academia to impact policy changes in allergenicity data requirements across regulatory agencies worldwide. Drive regulatory data and outreach strategies, explain technical requirements and regulatory trends to ensure business decisions are taken based on realistic timelines and costs, and with a proper understanding of opportunities and risks.Partners with regional and country teams to help shape the reputation of BCS as a leader in allergenicity assessment and ultimately achieving approvals for new projects and safeguarding existing ones according to business objectives.Drive registration process related to allergenicity data requirements for assigned projects for high-quality allergen data delivery for use in registration dossiers as well as product defense where applicable, in close collaboration with other functions to effectively develop a fair & cooperative relationship with regulatory agencies worldwide.WHO YOU ARE

Advanced university degree such as M.Sc.Proven experience with scientific excellence in allergenicity assessment and research.Recognized expert with an established global network in allergenicity scientific community.Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional scientific and business teams.Influential skills to impact the allergenicity assessment paradigm, globally.Ability to prioritize, plan & evaluate deliverables to established strategic goals.Understanding of the global regulatory framework and requirements for allergenicity assessment.Creative mindset, focusing on outcomes; collaborate with accountability; co-create for customer; act, learn fast & evolve; be our best selves and include others.Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D.8-10-years of relevant experience in allergenicity.Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $159,208 - $238,813. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
