Position SummaryThe Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing automation projects and manufacturing equipment vendors, leading engineering efforts to troubleshoot and optimize existing equipment, researching and recommending new manufacturing equipment and methods, and providing technical support to production. The senior ME will also work closely with other functions within operations, R&D, and quality.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of automation projects.Analyze manufacturing data, identifying areas for improvement, collaborate with other departments, and train and mentor junior engineers.Monitor and control all phases of new equipment development from design approval through implementation on the factory floor and control equipment costs during this process.Deploy and maintain Product Lifecycle Management system.Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders and management.Determine the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.Plan and design manufacturing processes for a production facility.Manage the transition of new product development deployment to production.Ensure optimum design for manufacturability and test early in the new product development introduction process.Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve productivity throughout the facility.Lead and support continuous improvement projects.Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing engineering technology.10 plus years’ experience.CAD proficiency (Autodesk Inventor preferred).Additional Information
Competencies:Project Management experience required.Experience with ladder logic and PLC controls.Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.Experience with vision system setup and implementation.History of hands-on technical proficiency.Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task.Strong problem-solving / analytical skills, as well as strategic thinking skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
