Jan 2025 – May 2025, between 20 and 35 hours/weekSUMMARY:The Asia Society Policy Institute, a solutions-oriented think and do tank headquartered in New York with an office in Washington, D.C., seeks a temporary Project Assistant. Under the guidance of the Senior Program Officer and Director of Trade, Investment and Economic Security, the Project Assistant will provide administrative and research support for an Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) project centered on an economic security-focused event in North Asia.RESPONSIBILITIES:Administrative support:

Liaise with project funders, participants, panelists in the workshop, experts, and other individuals connected with the project;Prepare and keep up-to-date project planning and financial reporting documents;Assist in the coordination and execution of meetings, and work as a rapporteur for meetings as needed;Arrange travel for speakers, participants, and staff;Organize the venue for the event (e.g., getting quotes, concluding contracts, block booking of hotel rooms, etc.);Organize other logistics arrangements for the workshop (e.g., catering, local transport, and AV support);Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Research and analysis support:

Draft emails, talking points, briefings, and questions for panel discussions;Prepare materials for use in the workshop, including program handouts and presentations, and liaise with vendors to print as needed;Compile primary and secondary research on economic security issues;Identify and map government and non-government actors, agencies, corporations, and stakeholders relevant to economic security issues in the Indo-Pacific;Draft post-event reports for funder and participants;Additional research and analysis support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s or master’s graduate with background in trade, international affairs, or related field;At least 1-2 years of work experience;Demonstrated project management experience, including providing administrative and financial support for projects;Strong organization skills and attention to detail;Superior time-management skills and ability to identify key priorities;Fluency in English required; knowledge of an Asian language an asset.ABOUT ASIA SOCIETY:Asia Society, founded by John D.
