Technical Director.
The Google Cloud Delivery Technical Director is responsible for setting the technical vision, architecture, and direction of complex cloud implementations for our customers, particularly in the U.S. Public Sector. This individual will lead a team of highly skilled Cloud Engineers and will be the technical escalation point for our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and technologies, as well as experience in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions for customers in the U.S. Public Sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and implement technology solutions on Google Cloud for the U.S. Public Sector
Work with customers, partners, and internal project team members to understand customer business requirements and translate into actionable engineering tasks
Lead the development and execution of technical strategies to support complex customer deployments
Configure and manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Cloud SQL
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform
Architect and implement security best practices for Google Cloud solutions using products such as Assured Workloads, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Security Command Center
Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP services and technologies and their applicability to the Public Sector space
Partner with the Director of Google Cloud Delivery to ensure alignment on technical direction and project delivery
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
15+ years of experience in cloud computing and/or software development
5+ years of experience delivering cloud solutions for Government customers
Strong understanding of Google Cloud services and technologies
Proven experience leading and managing technical teams
Strong understanding of Google Cloud services and technologies, including advanced knowledge of specific GCP services and products such as Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud SQL
Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions for customers in the U.S. Public Sector
Experience developing technical architecture documents, driving design decisions, developing documentation artifacts, and presenting technical solutions to clients and executive level leaders
Experience with infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Terraform
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and experience implementing CI/CD in cloud environments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work collaboratively with the broader team as well as independently
US Citizenship and security clearance eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
Multiple Google Cloud Professional Certification
Experience working within and managing Agile software development teams
Experience working with Google Cloud compliance products such as Security Command Center and Assured Workloads
Experience working with customers in the U.S. Defense and National Security space
U.S. Federal Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices
Experience with cloud security best practices and standards
Experience with DoD/DISA cybersecurity policies
This position is based out of Herndon, VA or another Dark Wolf primary location. The expected salary range for this position is between $180,000.00 - $225,000 commensurate on experience.
