$68,545.94-77,106.62About this opportunity:Plans, supervises, coordinates, directs, monitors and evaluates the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Operations, Maintenance, IT, Security, Disaster Services & Emergency Shelter Departments; cross-trains and supports all office assignments concentrating on targeted deadlines and quality standards. Plans, coordinates, directs, implements and evaluates a wide range of operations & information technology program servicesKey responsibilities:Utilizes competent discretionary authority and independent judgment to supervise, coordinate, assign, monitor and evaluate staff.Develops and manages monthly budget and reviews financial statements within Operations Department.Develops and manages Annual Capital Improvements Plan; assists Business Manager with budget & funding; works with Development Department to develop agency planning including implementation of the Long-Range Strategic Plan.Ensures that the department is in compliance in areas to include public safety, maintenance standards, program contract compliance, and employment labor law. Oversees all the services provided to the Maintenance, IT, Security & Emergency Shelter Departments; ensures the accomplishment of the various program contracts, strategic & master plans as they relate to IT, Security & maintenance Programs.Supervises all departmental staff and ensures work is in compliance with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations (i.e., OSHA, Health Department, Code enforcement, DCF, General Operations Manual, departmental manuals, etc).Monitors employees within department for ‘work in progress’ and upon completion; instructs and trains employees in proper methods and procedures; conducts performance evaluations; provides constructive and positive feedback to employees to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Recommends staff disciplinary actions to HRDirect supervision of Corps Property Manager, Computer Systems Manager; plans, schedules, conducts, and participates in senior managers meetings to discuss issues, priorities, practices, and procedures; resolves operational problems and gives recommendations.Oversees all purchasing and monitors the supplies and equipment for Operations Department within the approved budget and seeks approval for non-budgeted items from the Business Manager and Area Commander.Receives and responds to questions or problems regarding the program & administrative operations; researches to provide information or resolve problems in a timely manner; provides recommendations to the Area Commander to improve/simplify/stream-line methods and procedures; initiates, explains and enforces new and existing procedures as directed; prepares documentation for pursuit of grants, foundations, and requests for proposals to fund programs within Operations Department.Assures accuracy and timeliness of statistical and financial reporting data for dissemination to appropriate entities within Operations Department. Summarizes department activities and submits periodic reports to Area Commander.Follows TSA Minute system & DHQ/THQ Property Department protocols.Provides oversight of interviews for Operations Department, and selection of qualified employees to fill vacant positions within department; prepares and submits personnel paperwork necessary to facilitate the hiring process and to obtain the necessary approvals. Ensures proper orientation and training is provided for department’s positions.Provides the necessary management skills to effectively plan for work loads and deadlines; supervises, coordinates, assigns, monitors, audits, and evaluates the work of department staff.Reviews emergency plans annually ensuring facility evacuation plans have current personnel information and employees are trained in emergency procedures.Supervises the maintenance and operation of the physical facilities and equipment of assigned units; secures bids for service from area vendors; oversees new construction & renovations of TSA properties. Works with DHQ/THQ Property Departments on budgeting, bidding & approval processes.Ensures familiarity with all policies relating to maintenance, security, DHQ/THQ property department/reviews, Code Enforcement and other agencies; manages all significant events pertinent to contract compliance and keeps the Area Commander informed appropriately. Works with the Administration ensuring grant compliance and resources are committed for program effectiveness.Attends and participates in local and state forums, and training programs. Attends Civic and Religious organizational meetings educating the public about the programs.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:Approves staff training, participates and recommends deployments for Disaster Emergency Recovery Team (DERT).Works with Corps Property Manager to assure proper use & maintenance of corps, Social Services & Osceola vehicles.Oversees diagnostic and application problems, security, access codes, computer assignments, back-up systems & purchasing of all Corps computer equipment & supplies.Assists in the development of user-designed applications and budgetary requirements for purchasing & upgrading equipment.Provides guidance & support in the event one is absent; ensures all employees are cross trained in other employees work to ensure the uninterrupted workflow during employee absences; learns and maintains awareness of all job assignments in the program and administration that report to the Director of Operations.Performs other related work as required.What we are looking for in you:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a demonstrated personal commitment to continuing education and improvementandthree years experience leading and managing related functions for a similarly sized operation .orany equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.WORKING CONDITIONS:Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Employee Benefits:Health, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid Holidays and Paid Time OffRetirement PlanLife Insurance
