We offer medical, dental, and mental health services for all ages.LOCATION: ADMIN-HQJOB SUMMARY:Under the general direction of the SMH Division Director, the SMH Associate Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the SMH Adult Programs, provides clinical guidance to all Specialty Mental Health programs for continuous improvement, supervises the SMH Clinical Managers, and generally assists the SMH Division Director in administering the AHS’ Specialty Mental Health Program.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide leadership and supervision of day-to-day operations of all adult programs.Recruit, train, and retain program staff, particularly in adult programs.Identify the needs of staff, plan for, and implement continuing education efforts.Manage and supervise interns and volunteers used in the programs, including relationships with educational institutions and fieldwork programs.Provide clinical consultation to clinical managers, supervisors, and program staff.Interact with community partners and academic/other collaborations.Prepare program-specific program analysis.Assist the SMH Director in the expansion and development of new service lines, including diversification of payers and array of services. Assist with grant writing.Assist the SMH Director in coordinating and administering SMH procedures for risk identification, investigation, and reduction; ensure that pertinent patient data relative to claims is accurate, available, and secure; coordinate and oversee the division’s Quality Improvement processes.Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the day-to-day supervision and scheduling of clinical managers and directors of major program areas; conduct regular performance evaluations and foster staff professional growth. In consultation with the SMH directors and Human Resources, recommend and carry out performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and dismissals as needed. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new clinicians and clinical managers.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of two years of administrative, operations, management, and supervisory experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of M.A./M.S in Behavioral Sciences.Bilingual and bicultural preferred.Minimum of two years' clinical experience in Specialty Mental Health post-Master's degree.CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Must have a valid California license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, or Psychologist.SALARY:$107,581.50 - $111,657 a year
