Come and unwind in our sun-filled suites (some of the largest in Manhattan), take in the unparalleled city and park views, and experience serenity and luxury high above Manhattan’s exhilarating whirlwind.About the roleFour Seasons Hotel New York is seeking a Beverage Director with a passion for excellence and great enthusiasm in providing exceptional service standards. The Beverage Director is responsible for ensuring the excellent, creativity, brand promise, and profitability of our hotel’s beverage program. The position serves as a leader, educator, coach, creator and mentor to the management team, bartenders, and front of the house staff. The Beverage Director will ensure knowledge of and adherence to all applied laws, policies, and procedures and work to continuously build a high-performance team as well as oversee the beverage program for all food and beverage outlets in the Hotel.What you will doDevelop and implement the overall beverage program, ensuring it aligns with Four Seasons' standards and reflects current trends.Oversee selection, purchasing, and management of wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining optimal inventory and cost control.Create and curate beverage menus that complement culinary offerings and enhance the guest experience.Train, mentor, and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional service, product knowledge, and technical skills.Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage to pair beverages with menus.Establish and maintain vendor relationships to source high-quality and unique products, negotiating contracts and managing partnerships.Monitor guest feedback and market trends to continuously improve and innovate the beverage program.Ensure all regulatory and health standards are met, including compliance with alcohol service laws and safety protocols.Manage budgeting and forecasting for the beverage program, optimizing profitability and cost efficiency.What you bringTwo to three years previous experience in an assistant manager/department head position in Food & Beverage.Preferred degree or certification in a Hospitality-related field or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job.Strong understanding of systems such as Micros, Purchasing System, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.What we offerCompetitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.Market-leading pay and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Retirement Savings Plan).Complimentary accommodation at other Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.Complimentary employee meals.Paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.Culinary, retail and wellness experiences at special rates.Schedule & HoursThis role is a full-time, on-site role.Compensation95,000 - 100,000 Annual salary.*Please note that due to the large number of responses we receive, only candidates being considered for the above position will be contacted for an interview.*Four Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
