In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with technology vendors. You will be involved in evaluating vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that vendor services meet organizational needs and standards. You will work closely with IT teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure that vendor solutions are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.As an IT Vendor Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:Establish a vendor strategy planPartner with Brightspeed Procurement on vendor engagementServe as the liaison and escalation point with top vendors and Brightspeed IT leadersLead vendor monthly performance reviews meetingsManage vendor issues and action plansMaintain forecasts of labor and software spendPartner with Finance on managing vendor spendWork with Brightspeed leaders to assist them with procuring vendors or softwareSupport vendor negotiationsPlan future years vendor spendQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), ITIL) are a plus3+ years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or a related roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent negotiation and communication skillsProficiency in contract management and vendor performance toolsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyKnowledge of IT services and technologiesDetail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracyProactive and able to work independentlyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationshipsAdaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced environmentBONUS POINTS FOR:Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationshipsAdditional InformationWHY JOIN US?We aspire to contemporary ways of working.Recognized as a Top Workplace by the Charlotte Observer, Brightspeed HQ is located on the 7th floor of the new Vantage South End - East Tower in Charlotte, NC.
