A Day in the LifeThe Sr Business Process Improvement Program Manager enjoys broad organizational influence and visibility as a member of the Neuromodulation & Pelvic Health Quality Leadership Team, responsible for managing the strategic and operational activities of the Quality function.
The Sr. PM is responsible for developing and driving simple and effective operating mechanisms that align and execute business and functional strategies, business and functional processes, and organizational health initiatives to deliver results. This includes the aspirational strategy and roadmap, annual goals, and key programs + performance indicators. Through a partnership with the vice president and leadership team, the Sr. PM will drive cultural transformation and provide leadership and tactical support to implement ideas and strategic initiatives. The Sr. PM will proactively address pressing business issues that require immediate attention.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Acts as a trusted advisor to the Quality VP and works with the leadership team to ensure the appropriate progression, support, and visibility for various initiatives sponsored by the VP and leadership team.
Directs the Strategic Planning, AOP, and Annual Goal setting processes to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress toward goals.
Analyze and report performance—Benchmark internal and external best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
Establishes, facilitates, and continuously improves + simplifies operating mechanisms and tiered visual management to attain functional goals and KPIs for core business operations.
Facilitates the quality leadership team and other partner organization leaders in negotiating, defining, and aligning SLAs to drive the function forward.
Design metrics and dashboards that will lead to shared forecasting, execution, and accountability for the results.
Establishes communication mechanisms within and across the organization to strengthen the organization’s service delivery, execution, and culture.
Assists the VP in the preparation of key communications.
Plans and facilitates the Leadership Team and Extended Leadership Team strategic meetings.
Helps lead and initiate change throughout the organization.
Builds connections across all leadership levels of the organization.
Provides independent, informed, unbiased insight, including front-line feedback.
Leads problems and issues that are complex, undefined, and impact multiple processes or functions, where information is typically difficult to obtain, and extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems is required.
Thinks strategically while providing tactical support to implement ideas.
May oversee strategic initiatives and processes from ideation to implementation.
Proactively addresses pressing business issues that need immediate attention.
Proactively escalates and resolves potential issues by calling them to the attention of the VP and identifying potential solutions.
Assesses and mitigates/eliminates risk when business decisions are made.
Works with the leadership team to help create a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can bring their whole and authentic selves, where all voices are heard, and where team members do their best work.
Identifies and helps to solve core problems or opportunities within business processes.
Partner with the Enterprise to engage the organization in continuous improvement / DMAIC training and application.
Partner with the enterprise and IT functions to drive process automation.
Champion personal accountability throughout the organization, reducing ‘reminders.’
Required Knowledge and Experience:Requires a Baccalaureate degree
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Demonstrated financial and business acumen, including project management experience

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$136,800.00 - $205,200.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
