Head of IT Operations
to join our Information Technology team! The Head of IT Operations holds a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Feed the Children’s IT infrastructure supporting operations located in the United States. The Head of IT Operations will oversee the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring that all IT services, systems, and infrastructure operate smoothly and efficiently. This role will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance operational efficiencies, and ensuring the organization’s IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and scalable. This position will work closely with senior leadership to align IT services with business goals, business continuity strategies, and corporate strategic growth objectives. This position will report directly to the Chief Information Officer.NOTE: This position will work onsite from our corporate office in Oklahoma City, OK and is not a remote position.Job Requirements:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience:
12+ years of information technology operations experience required; 8+ years’ experience in leading and managing teams; Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks and IT operations best practices required; Deep understanding of IT systems, networks, back-up and recovery solutions and software applications required; Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues efficiently; Ability to work with senior leadership to create actionable plans to develop team members; Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex subjects in a concise, clear and non-technical way to other departments and stakeholders; Ability to work collaboratively with other teams, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment; Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Licenses and Certifications:
Network, system, or security certificates are preferred.Essential Functions:Strategic Leadership and Vision: Set the strategic direction for IT operations to align with Feed the Children’s goals and objectives.Operational Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.Staff Leadership: Manage network, system, support, and other information technology infrastructure IT Operations staff.Team Development: Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.IT Infrastructure Management: Plan, implement and maintain IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and software applications.Financial Management: Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources.Maintain a current inventory of all information technology equipment and continually notify Finance of equipment placed into and taken out of service.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, business analysts, and project managers to support IT needs and ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.Continuous Improvement: Analyze performance metrics and implementing improvements to enhance IT operations and service delivery.Maintain regular attendance and punctuality which are critical in order to complete the day-to-day tasks of this position.Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including training in job skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Establish an environment of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning, a commitment to quality, welcomes and encourages collaboration, and fosters both intra and inter-departmental dialogue and respect.Model the type and level of behavior, professionalism and personal leadership that is in accordance with the values of the organization.Perform other related duties as required.About Feed the Children:As a leading anti-hunger organization, Feed the Children is committed to ending childhood hunger.
