Document Crunch is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Lead to join our amazing, tight-knit team.In this role, you will be responsible for leading a remote testing team, developing comprehensive test strategies, building test automation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will be passionate about software quality, have strong leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a remote team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback for performance evaluations.Review and provide detailed feedback on product requirements to ensure testability, clarity, and suitability for the customer domain.Develop and maintain test plans.Design, implement, and improve test automation frameworks.Create manual test cases for scenarios where test automation is not cost-effective.Report and track bugs, including detailed steps to reproduce, environment considerations, and severity assessments.Prioritize test cases based on risk assessment, business impact, and resource constraints.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and customer support to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in QA methodologies and tools.Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development team.Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation for QA activities.Assist in performing root cause analyses for critical issues and help propose preventive measures.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and software development lifecycle.Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG).Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman.Familiarity with SQL and database concepts for data validation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience working with remote teams and cloud-based collaboration tools.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in B2B SaaS environments.Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).ISTQB certifications or equivalent.Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).Knowledge of security testing principles and tools.We value diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do.
