The Role:The Senior Associate, Retail Training is responsible for executing learning initiatives through the creation and implementation of training curriculum for Leap’s retail employees. The primary focus of the role is to develop learning materials, conduct training sessions and create programs to drive luxury selling behaviors and customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail training, experience working in a luxury environment and understanding of how to drive sales through effective training strategies and action plans.
Role Location:This role is based in Chicago. We have a hybrid office culture and expect you to be in-office 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:Training & AnalysisOwnership of content development to support business needs and new initiativesIdentify and create learning solutions to drive performance including job aides, enrollment calls, support tools, presentations, facilitator guides, training playbooks, etc.Guide information extraction process to gather content from multiple brands to create engaging learning solutions that drive performanceConduct train-the-trainer workshops for existing retail programs both virtually and in person, as neededCreate training recaps and follow-up action plansSupport the creation of an annual training calendarMonitor and evaluate the training program and all learning materials to improve effectivenessSupport Retail teams in onboarding new hires, including creating lesson plans and facilitating learning sessionsLeverage performance data to steer future learning solutions
Cross-Functional PartnershipDevelop cross-functional partnership with various teams across the organization to share information and align on training strategiesWork closely with the field leadership team and external partners to create and execute training strategies to support business driving initiativesCollaborate with field leadership and customer success to create an environment that fosters feedback to generate continued process improvements
Candidate Qualifications
3+ years experience in retail training2+ years experience in a luxury selling or training environment, fine jewelry experience requiredKnowledge of eLearning authoring platforms (Articulate 360 preferred)Project management skills (experience with Asana preferred)Experience facilitating training both in-person and virtuallyGreat communication skills, both written and verbalStrong problem solving skills and attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of retail fundamentals such as retail calendars, sales/traffic dynamics and the basics of retail operationsWorking knowledge of modern brand retail and/or ecomm, e.g. DTC and customer experience.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high growth business environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to operate “in the weeds” without losing sight of the big pictureAvailable for up to 30% travel
Salary Range Transparency
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. All corporate roles are eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.
