Reporting to the Deputy Director and working closely with the Founder/Executive Director and the California Film Institute (CAFILM) team, the Education Director oversees and promotes the development of the education programs of the California Film Institute. These programs provide youth and community members with the opportunity to learn about the world through film.RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Development:

Oversee the development of film and filmmaking educational programming consistent with CAFILM’s mission and strategic vision.Develop strategies and plans for the growth and deepening of CAFILM Education programs.Develop concepts and designs for funding proposals.Service Delivery and Supervision:

Ensure the development of appropriate program strategies, frameworks, and curriculum plans.Curate films and panelists for youth and family audiences.Oversee youth filmmaking programs.Develop procedures and policies for safe and effective operation of the overall program.Supervise the program coordinator, contractors, and interns. Provide performance evaluation and feedback for all positions within the program.Serve as a champion for education programs within CAFILM, ensuring the seamless integration with the operations of the Smith Rafael Film Center and the Mill Valley Film Festival, and maintaining congruence with the CAFILM mission and strategic vision.General Manager, Film Festival OperationsAbout the job:The general operations manager

will work collaboratively with all departments and key stakeholders in ensuring the overall success of the annual MVFF and DocLands Film Festival.
