PSG products are manufactured on three continents – North America, Europe, and Asia – in state-of-the-art facilities that practice lean manufacturing and are ISO-certified.Position Summary:Hydro’s NPD Manager will be responsible for the Mechanical and Electronics Engineering team based in Cincinnati and a small number of third-party design partners. Their role is to drive the development of new, creative, problem-free, high value-added chemical dispensers. The individual should be very target-focused in order to meet the department’s KPI of NPD Revenue, NPD Quality, On-time delivery, and On-BOM cost.The role also involves close collaboration with other Global Engineering departments, Product Management, Project Managers and other operational departments to ensure the delivered product is production-ready and has the greatest chance of commercial success while expanding Hydro’s brand value.Manage, mentor and motivate an internal team of Mechanical and Electronics NPD Engineers for the effective and timely execution of NPD projects.Focused on key performance criteria and drive the team towards these stretch-goals.Technically competent in design optimization and creatively resolving technical issues.Experienced with managing the development of equipment with electronic controls.Ideally experience with, and knowledge of; Injection molding, fluid-dynamics, but be content to let the team do the designing.Ensure that all projects are managed efficiently, professionally and are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.Manage resource availability, allocation and performance, maximizing the return on this investment.Establish and maintain relationships with third party designers and their development.Maintain comprehensive project documentation and protect the company’s IP.Qualifications/Requirements:Proven track record managing an NPD Team who has taken products from concept to commercially successful product sales in a manufacturing environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and building trusting relationships with colleagues.Excel in change-management to achieve desired results.Ability to communicate information effectively and influence colleagues at all levels of the business, both orally and in writing.Experience using successfully proven project management processes.Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Design, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or similar Degree.7+ years of experience in New Product Development and 3+ years in Management.Desired Competencies:Flexible and Adaptable.Results Driven.Builds and Manages Collaborative Relationships.Strong organizational skills.Work Arrangement: OnsiteJob Requisition ID: 57636Job Function: Engineering
