Job ID: 2752305 | Amazon.com Services LLCThe North American (NA) Central Cost team is an organization within the NA Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) and End-to-End (E2E) Optimization organization with ownership of Central Operational Expenditures (Opex). This team encompasses cost management associated with Under-the-Roof (UTR) operations across North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF), Amazon Logistics (AMZL), Amazon Extra Large (AMXL), North America Sort Center (NASC), and Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L). The team is organized across key pillars; 1) Controllership – Purchase Order lifecycle (POL) management, 2) E2E Category – driving Global Procurement Organization (GPO) led category savings; agnostic of site type, 3) Business Partnership, PMO and Analytics; scaling through ownership attainment and 4) Analytics and Insights (A&I)- delivering scalable reporting mechanisms and strategic automation tools to drive business enablement.This is an exciting opportunity under the Analytics and Insights pillar where you will be expected to partner cross-functionally with customers, partners and operational stakeholders to develop scalable automation tools and platforms to drive informed decision making, innovation and sustainability for the E2E North American Central Cost network. Given the breadth of the service we are building this role will require coordination across many internal teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company. This role will lead through influence on product build but will focus specifically on simplifying customer requirements and providing domain level expertise to accelerate current Standardization and Automation (S&A) workstreams.The Finance Manager will be a leader with ownership of key financial projects including continuous improvement, driving automation and E2E pillar-based support for our tech and data strategy. This individual will lead and manage cross functional A&I communication coordinating across multiple teams to develop the right artifacts and modules to create long lasting standardization solutions. The successful candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. This role will require high judgement on how we can deliver for customers in both the short- and long-term.To deliver for customers, the candidate will have excellent written communication, leadership, analytical and financial reporting skills. They will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple levels and geographies. The role works with stakeholders and business partners, often engaging with teams such as Controllership pillar, E2E Category subject matter expertise (SME) pillar, business unit FP&A and Fin Tech (S&A).Key Job Responsibilities
Partner across E2E Finance pillars and Tech (S&A) to drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems and strategic tools through automation.Manage and lead the short- and long-term vision for systematizing planning, bridging and metric reporting infrastructure.Gather, review, and communicate fact-based insights into time-savings process and technical solutions for internal A&I enhancements or formalized into S&A product roadmap.Leverage E2E Central Cost metrics to identify new insight opportunities by linking operations KPIs and Financials.Provide support in producing a monthly and quarterly leadership update on project status and needed decision points.Identifies risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps.Be an evangelist, promoting new features to customers, defining success metrics, and accelerating adoption while simultaneously protecting and enhancing the customer experience.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of SQL/ETL- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of resultsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
